“…the earth was made round so we wouldn’t see so far down the road.” ~Isak Dinesen
This week we entered into Mercury Retrograde from Oct 13th-Nov 3rd. How cosmically poetic that Mercury, planet of communication, has decided to take a retreat during the most important time of the year, the last three weeks of an election year.
As if we didn’t have enough to worry about, as if this year of 2020 hasn’t thrown enough curveballs our way!
In the practice of Reiki, practitioners follow 5 important principles:
-Don’t worry today
-Don’t get angry today
-Be kind today
-Be mindful & meditate today
-Be grateful today
Trust me, it’s helpful to repeat these at least 5 times to yourself. It downshifts the mind from panic to calm.
If there is one theme of 2020 it is transformation. Planet Earth is being worked with by loving galactic beings.
Divine consciousness is moving through this Universe and working with various planets and star worlds to grid love, higher wisdom and vibration into their networks of ley lines and people. We have been working with Earth intensively since 2009….
“However, where there is light, there is also dark. This is called a polarity and it’s one of the Universal Laws. In order to shift fully into the light, we must learn the lessons from the dark. This is breakthrough.
When the vibrational frequency of anything increases that forces a purge of toxins. This is transformation.” ~Pleiadian High Council
Please remember to stay connected to the light. Decrease your intake of social media and anything that is sensationalized. I caught myself last week and hit my own internal pause button.
Spend time in nature. Ask yourself “is this (whatever ‘it’ is) serving my highest frequency?” and if not, then shift your focus to the higher ground.
Here are some astrological insights for Mercury Retrograde & the New Moon in Libra:
☿️ MERCURY RETROGRADE ☿️October 13–November 3, 2020
We’ve been in the shadow of Mercury Retrograde for the past two weeks. It’s now ready to spark more chaos, while igniting our deepest triggers. The point of this particularly potent Mercury Retrograde is not to hurt or punish us, but to help us heal and transmute our wounding…It’s time to choose peace and heal divisiveness and judgment, toward ourselves and others.
….Secrets, truth, and revelation may now emerge, striking like lightning bolts, through a haze of confusion. We won’t be able to find clarity until later on. We’re invited to undergo a deep internal dive, slowing down to observe the calamity around us. We may use this period to process the dramas and surprises that are now unfolding, interpersonally and on the public stage. We might remember that resolution may not come until after November 3, when Mercury stations direct. Until then, we can be as kind and gentle as possible, retreating from using harsh words while limiting the information that we share and consume.
…This is a beautiful time for retreat and meditation. Catharsis is now possible if we can first find our ground.
New Moon in Libra, October 16, 2020 12:31pm, PST
“…this is a Super New Moon, we are going to feel the lunar energies strongly…This New Moon may stir some troubles for us or bring some pain points to the surface of our heart. It may make us feel a little heavy or lethargic, and add to the confusion or uncertainty we may already be feeling.
…If you have been giving too much of yourself away, if you have been acting for the sake of others rather than yourself, this New Moon may help you to return to yourself and to realize a new way.
The New Moon calls for us to return to ourselves, to step out of shame and blame and to focus on giving back to ourselves. When we are “full of ourselves” then we can pour into others.
Don’t feel like you need to have it all figured out in one go, as this New Moon calls for patience, reflection, and inner-work.
This confusion is amplified by the fact that both Mars and Mercury are in retrograde at the time of the New Moon.
When the world outside us feels confusing and unsure, there are always things we can feel certain about, and those are the things that we should keep in our focus.
Having both these planets in retrograde at the same time is a challenging combination and may make us feel like we are taking steps backward not forward!
While this feels like a challenging cycle that is opening up for us under this New Moon, know that it is also powerful for spiritual awakenings and intuitive work.
If you can open to the energies, you may receive some new spiritual insights and understandings. You may even find that connecting with your spirit guides and angels become easier.
Bottom line. Stay connected to your light, partake in nourishing activities and spend a lot of time in nature to help you stay grounded & connected to reality. This is how we move forward from a loving, responsive state.
